Trained as an illustrator, Nathan Solano has been painting full time since 1987. Initially painting in acrylic on canvas, Solano now paints exclusively with oils. Known for his use of light and shadow, Solano paints landscapes, western cattle drives, cowboys and native American scenes with historic accuracy. His work has been published widely in western and southwestern magazines.
